Important Coronavirus Update

** UPDATED FOR WEDNESDAY 23 NOVEMBER **

We will remain open during these restrictions in order to continue to provide health care for your family’s pets. Our opening hours will remain as normal and we will be open for all routine and non-routine appointments and surgeries. Our Puppy Play and Puppy Pre-school classes will be held in our outdoor Garden area maintaining the appropriate social distancing requirements.
This week brings some further changes as we navigate the ever changing Covid-19 situation.

When you arrive at the hospital, please call us to let us know you have arrived. A nurse will then call you back to discuss the nature of the visit and and history, and will then invite you to bring your pet into the hospital. The nurse will take your pet into the consult room to be examined by the vet and you are welcome to wait in the reception area, and then the vet will call you into the consult room to discuss their findings and any treatment required.

For those pets who may struggle a little being away from you we can also offer Garden appointments if time permits so please let us know at the time of booking your appointment. Food and medications can still be collected from the hospital. Payments can be made over the phone or by contactless Eftpos.

Thank you for your ongoing understanding. We will do our best during this time to be able to continue to take the very best of care of you and your pets; please take care, and give your pets a pat and a cuddle from us!

  1. Good luck through this second phase of Covid19, we hope everything goes well – it did last time – and that you all remain Covid free.
    With best wishes.

  2. Thank you for looking after everyone so well GAH. Let’s hope things improve quickly. Murphy sends you all a hug back (especially if you are holding treats) Stay safe!

  3. I have reactive dogs & a very sensitive dog, should Merlin require a visit to the vets this is forcing me to seek out another vet who will allow me to be with them.
I understand your concerns , but I dont go to shoppong malls etc or go on public transport

    • Hi Jacqueline, thank you for your feedback, we completely understand this can be a stressful situation for Merlin. We are very committed to making all visits for our patients ‘fear free’ therefore in Merlin’s situation we’re more than happy to offer a garden consult, which would mean you can also be present for the entire consult. We hope this helps ease your worries! Stay Safe and Dr Steve said to give Merlin a cuddle for him!

  4. Agree this is a sensible course of action, but what if your pet won’t leave the owner. When Lexie had her vaccinations during first wave, she stressed when taken in without me and I had to go in with her.

  5. As I have a nervous dog if I am not with her.
If we need to come in , is owner allowed in if gloved and masked up. As I would hate my girl to end up stressed and trying to escape, because I am not with her.

Just wondering if you do make exceptions if needed.
Saying that , I do understand. Just so annoyed at people NOT doing the right thing 🤬,

    Thanks for all you do.
Take care and stay safe 🙏🏻

    • Hi Sue, We most definitely have a plan for our nervous patients. When you call and speak to our lovely receptionists, please mention you would like to book in for a garden consult. This way you can be with your girl the entire consult. We hope this puts your mind at ease. Thank you and keep safe!

  6. Hi Lauren.
Thanks to GAH for being so caring. Stay safe yourselves. Fingers crossed this concerning time will pass quickly. Hugs and licks from Phoenix & Jett xx

  7. Thanks GAH. Appreciate all your efforts during these again Covid19 trying times. Alice is almost out of her big bag of dry food, so is it okay for me to come tomorrow to get more, and phone from my car when I arrive?
    Hugs
    Marion

    • Hi Marion, yes that’s fantastic, call us first and we can also organise for you to make payment over the phone. Give Alice a big cuddle for us please!
