Practice Manager
Helen became part of our Customer Care team in early 2023, quickly becoming a familiar and friendly face to pets and their owners. With her strong background in customer service and admin, she seamlessly slotted in to Gawler Animal Hospital. Fast forward to 2024, and Helen was offered the role of Practice Manager at Gawler Animal Hospital—a challenge she embraced with ease! Now, she oversees our various teams at both Gawler Animal Hospital and Animalia Vet Clinic. Despite her new responsibilities, Helen still loves greeting clients and their furry friends and never misses an opportunity for a quick pet cuddle.
Helen lived in Manchester and Dorset before moving to South Australia in 2011 and transitioned from the Not for Profit sector into the veterinary world in 2018.
Outside of work, Helen and her husband Gary live in an old bluestone house in Gawler. When they’re not renovating, Helen enjoys growing fresh veggies and fruit. At home, Helen’s two black cats, Nigel and Suzy, keep her company, along with Barkley, their energetic Westie X who’s always by their side. On weekends, Helen and Gary love exploring new places, dining out, and visiting wineries with Barkley, and friends!
