If you try and pin down Alyssa’s veterinary interests, she’ll quickly reply ‘everything’! She has a natural talent for surgery and is the go-to person for skin, ophthalmology and dentistry. She also has a particular love for pharmacology (the study of drugs) because it opens up a world of treatment options for her patients.
Alyssa grew up in the country and clients love her down to earth nature and open approach. She feels strongly that her job is not only to look after her patients, but their owners too. Further to this, she truly enjoys taking the time to build relationships with her clients so she can learn how to best help
them and has a bit of fun in the process – indeed it is not uncommon to hear cheeky laughter coming from her consulting room on a regular basis!
Outside of work, Alyssa has a household of boys to look after. Alyssa and Matt have 2 boys, and their free time mainly consists of playing with the boys, cleaning, cooking and exploring SA.
