Certificate IV Veterinary Nurse, Hospital Daily Team Leader
Amanda joined us as a nurse trainee in 2017 through an unconventional path. Originally accepted into the University of Adelaide’s veterinary program, she realised her passion was for veterinary nursing and enrolled in a TAFE course instead. Her outstanding performance caught our eye, leading to a part-time nurse assistant role at Gawler Animal Hospital. Amanda’s impressive skills earned her a nursing traineeship, and she chose to remain with us, transitioning to a full-time position.
Amanda is known for her calm demeanour with both pets and clients. She completed her nurse training in record time and has become a valued member of our veterinary nursing team. In 2022, Amanda took on the role of Hospital Daily Team Leader. Amanda’s is currently studying a Diploma of Veterinary Nursing.
Outside of work, Amanda enjoys spending time with family and friends on fun walks followed by brunch.
